My professional life has been largely shaped by four years of international travel and work experience. I crewed a sailboat passage from Australia to Indonesia, worked as a film extra in Egypt and studied Hindu philosophy at the foot of the Himalayan Mountains.
A love of storytelling, curiosity, and creative bent led me to documentary filmmaking, and for the past six years I’ve worked on productions for PBS, cable networks, independent and educational distribution.
Some favorite moments include: interviewing a former Prime Minister of Sudan during a conference called Love in the Quran, embedding with the Mobile Mini Circus in Kabul, Afghanistan, filming in hospitals for Discovery and NOVA and following a climate change awareness tour through the South Pacific Ocean for the independent documentary Sun Come Up.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Wellesley College and a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University. Please visit the resume page for more detailed information about my production experience.
